The apiary is now established.  A number of helpers from Bude Bees worked earlier in the year to:  lay a path through the apiary; build a wind break for the hives; and plant out saplings and wild flowers.

The site now has three colonies (two nationals and one WBC), and two nucs.

Our intention was for the apiary to provide an opportunity for members of Bude Bees to learn more about the craft of beekeeping by working alongside experienced beekeepers and hands-on inspection of hives.

Apiary sessions are now open to all members and we also welcome anyone who is interested in honey bees and looking to keep bees.
